How about plug the ethernet straight into the iMac?
Seems really odd that both the TC and Express would have this problem at exactly the same time.
Maybe give Apple a call.

Anyone planning on going to the Apple Store tonight? Anyone know if there is a line yet?
I'm Thinking about it, but more so tomorrow in the AM, I live in Brigham so its not to far and i at least want to Stand in Line "SIT" one time in my life, But at 47 years old and being partially disabled, overnight might be a bit to much.:)
But for sure in the Morning, So maybe we can meet up.:apple:

OpenGL Improvements
Leopard also provides a dramatic increase in OpenGL performance by offloading CPU-based processing onto another thread which can then run on a separate CPU core feeding the GPU. This can increase, or in some cases, even double the performance of OpenGL-based applications.
Does anyone know if this is only for Core 2 Duo or does it include Core Duo as well?

Maybe when a post is copied from the forums, we should PM the original poster to let them know...
Yes, we should do that.

And to the poster that asked, I hear 4.3.1 is shipping out on new units.
I can confirm this. Apple store units from March 27 and newer have it. Prior to that I'm not sure. Walmart\Target units from March 30 and newer have 4.3.1 as well. Unsure about BBY or other retail.

I agree, it's very annoying, and seems to be one of the Finder's long-standing bugs. I use column view exclusively and still get annoyed when new windows open in another view, such as when viewing an app's package contents.
You might want to try opening a new Finder window and setting it how you like, then closing it and opening another. This has sometimes worked for me in the past.
One way I found to not so much get around the problem but get new windows opening how I like is by using scripts. Here's one I amended from an article originally on MacOSXHints.com way back in 2001. It opens two finder windows, one above thew other in column view, and is designed for a 1024 x 768 resolution screen. It's pretty easy to follow so you should be able to tinker with it to get it exactly how you want it (and remember to change the 'set target...' lines to reflect your user account and what you want the Finder to display).
tell application "Finder"
activate
close every window
-- Bottom Window
set this_window to make new Finder window
-- display external firwire hard disk if mounted
if disk "X Files" exists then
set target of this_window to "X Files:Archive"
else
set target of this_window to "HD:Applications"
end if
set bounds of this_window to {86, 364, 818, 762}
set current view of this_window to column view
-- Top Window
set this_window to make new Finder window
set target of this_window to "HD:Users:db"
set bounds of this_window to {86, 97, 818, 279}
set current view of this_window to column view
end tell

Still worth it to head to the Gateway over anywhere else, yeah? You gotta assume the Apple Store will have thousands of these things, I hope?

Incipio has come out with a case similar to Speck's case for the MacBook Air. This case is actually more "thinner" than the Speck case (I have both) and seems to be more user friendly to me. You can view them both at the link in my signature.

Only for specific purposes. I prefer 2x24" or 27" monitor for real work.
Well, you can have it both ways with the MBA... you can plug a 27-incher in when you need it.
Also, a lot of real work can get done on a 13" or 11" screen. E.g., my wife runs her law firm with her MBA. Word, Excel, email, etc. work fine on a 13" screen and run fast on a MBA.
(Apparently the SSD makes a huge difference because they run better on her MBA than on my 2009 iMac -- the minute I can swing it, I'm doing a little surgery on my iMac to add an SSD).

I always find it funny that so many people consider their type of work to be the only "real" work that exists. My work, which is extremely real, can be completed just fine on an 11" Air. Or an iPad with a BT keyboard for that matter.
I do not disagree with you. I should have said for "my real work". Obviously there are activities that require mobile computing and can be handled by a phone, tablet, netbook etc. just fine.

Based on the above drawings, this would be a disaster.
The interface is now clunky, crowded and unintuitive.
Biggest problem- take a look-it will require two hands to operate, thereby negating what every one else has been trying to imitate-the ease of use of the iPod scroll wheel.
Oh please... This is a stupid drawing, the iPod is not gonna look like this. The Apple engineers know what they are doing.

I don't think you need to worry about that. Serious image editors would never use a glossy screen.
Why is that? I'm just curious.

So let me get this straight:
1: ATT will not unlock your iphone no matter what
2: Foreign carriers are not allowed to unlock my ATT iPhone
3: I'm better off buying a another phone when I go to Europe

Hi there,
if he's into dance stuff then Reason is a fairly good bet. The company is Propellorheads. Software is called "Reason".
Generally speaking, though, if you want top quality production software, get Logic by Emagic (now owned by apple)
